Admissions Requirements
Enrolling in Kaplan Career Institute is easy. Just give us a call, and we will walk you through the process. For your convenience, we have outlined some of our specific admissions requirements below.
Prior to acceptance at Kaplan Career Institute, you must:
- Be able to provide evidence of a high school diploma, a General Education Development (GED) certificate, or a certificate or transcript from a Home Study program equivalent to high school level and recognized by your home state
- Complete the required admissions documents and submit the necessary fee(s) stated on the Tuition and Fee Schedule
- Complete an informational interview
- Be able to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Complete an application for transfer of credit prior to the first day of the course for which the transfer credit is requested; this may require an examination to determine credit for previous education, training, or work experience
- Complete financial aid applications if applicable
- Complete an Enrollment Agreement, which must be signed by a parent or guardian if you are under 18 years of age
For the criminal justice, network engineering technology, and respiratory care programs, you will be required to take an entrance exam and attain minimum score requirements.
